Bhutan: Insider’s tour to be led by its former U.N. ambassador

This may be the ultimate insider’s tour of Bhutan: Lhatu Wangchuk, its former ambassador to the United Nations, will escort Geringer Global Travel’s excursion of his country.

Highlights of the 13-day tour include welcome and farewell dinners hosted by the ambassador at his family home, a dinner and program with a Royal Privy Council member who will discuss Bhutan’s recent history and national identity, and a dinner at the Folk Heritage Museum. Also included are treks, visits to monasteries and the Tiger’s Nest temple as well as the Thangbi Mani Festival, known for its traditional songs and dance. Tour limited to 16.
