The city is offering hotel guests a $100 gift card just for visiting -- and you can spend it any way you like.

The deal: To get this deal, you have to stay two consecutive nights in a San Luis Obispo hotel. You can pick the San Luis Creek Lodge in the city or choose the quirky themed rooms of the Madonna Inn closer to Highway 101.

The reward for your stay: The local Chamber of Commerce will give you a $100 Visa gift card that’s good just about anywhere. Here’s a list of qualifying hotels.


When: The deal is good for reservations through March 31.

Details: To get this deal, you need to take the following steps:

1. Book a hotel and receive a confirmation of your reservation.

2. Send the reservation to, and you’ll receive a confirmation letter.


3. Bring your reservation, hotel key and confirmation letter to the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce Visitors Center (895 Monterey St.) to receive the $100 gift card.
