Trips you could take if you gave up buying cups of coffee

Share

A good majority of the world drinks one thing almost every morning — coffee. The average cost of a standard cup of coffee without milk is $2.70, according to mobile payment company Square. If you’re buying a cup a day, that’s $985.50 a year, a decent chunk of your income. But what if you used that money for something else, like travel?

Travel + Leisure and Expedia teamed up to find the best travel package deals you could book with those caffeine savings. Each trip includes a round-trip flight and a three-day hotel stay in one room at a minimum-three-star hotel for two adults. Itineraries were pulled for the dates of May 5-8, departing from six major hubs — New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, San Francisco, Atlanta and Chicago.

All prices are per person, so get a pal to give up coffee, too, and you’ll be set.
