Italy: Experience food and photography on a Tuscany tour

Professional photographer Joanne Heaviland and New Tuscan Experience have teamed up to offer a September tour and photo workshop. The eight days and seven nights begin in Florence and include a visit to Michelangelo’s “David.” The journey continues through the hills of Tuscany, one of the world’s most picturesque landscapes. Also on the itinerary is a tour of a farm where Pecorino cheese is made, a wine tasting and a cooking lesson at an organic farm in Chianti. The photo workshop includes instruction in lighting and composition, as well as landscape and portrait photography.
Dates: Sept. 20-27
Price: $3,499 per person, double occupancy. Includes lodging in a boutique hotel in Florence and a B&B in a former castle, transportation for day trips, daily breakfast, two lunches and six dinners, as well as a local guide in Florence and admission to the Galleria dell’Accademia. International airfare not included.
