Offbeat Traveler: Quirky Olympic art

Here are five curious works of art to view while you’re in London for the Olympics. Some of these works, including “Orbit,” “Steles” and “RUN” will remain on display after the Games come to a close.

"London Booster"

Wenlock and Mandeville statues

Scattered around London are 83 statues of Wenlock (pictured) and Mandeville, mascots for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The quirky statues, designed by different artists, are a part of six sightseeing trails that take visitors through some of London’s top attractions. "Orbit"
