Celebrate the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service with a walking tour of Acadia, the oldest national park east of the Mississippi, where 120 miles of interconnected trails explore old-growth forests, shorelines and mountain summits with panoramic views. Acadia National Park, considered one of the best walking destinations in New England, is criss-crossed by carriage roads that provide another venue for hikers. The six-day, five-night tours, organized by Country Walkers, include time to explore Bar Harbor and Little Cranberry Island as well as experience a special lunch at the Jordan Pond House, a historic teahouse-style restaurant in the heart of the park known for its popovers.
