Your Scene: ‘Cloud Gate’ in Chicago’s Millennium Park

Share

An enormous android from the future teleporting into the past? Close. Liquid mercury did inspire British artist Anish Kapoor to create this sculpture, titled “Cloud Gate.” Kapoor’s sculpture, weighing 110 tons, lords over AT&T Plaza in Chicago’s Millennium Park. The highly reflective sculpture is fused together from plates of polished steel. It stands 33 feet high and measures 66 feet long.

Times reader Paul Konkirati captured this futuristic scene.
