The entertainment industry’s hugely popular media extravaganza, Comic-Con International, has added cast members from TV hits such as “Glee” and “Bones” to the July 21-24 lineup at the San Diego Convention Center.

Attracting more than 100,000 fans annually, Comic-Con was launched as a comic book convention but has grown into an international happening that features all facets of Hollywood entertainment. And it may not be too late to snag tickets, if you’re persistent.

Focusing on heavily anticipated movies, animation and the upcoming television season, a busy schedule of events is packed with sneak peeks; panels with producers, directors, authors and actors; and booths selling souvenirs and collectibles.

Although general tickets sold out long ago, the Comic-Con organization says it will sell returned tickets as they become available on its website. Four-day tickets are $105; $52 for seniors and military; children under 11 free with a paid adult.

Caveat: Beware of tickets available at other websites. Tickets cannot be sold or transferred, according to Comic-Con rules.
