Opening date of new Omni Dallas fuels $111 room rates

The opening date of the Omni Dallas Hotel -- Nov. 11, or 11/11/11 -- fuels a special opening room rate. Travelers vising the Texas city through the end of the year can look for room rates starting at $111 a night.
The deal: The Definitely Dallas Package discounts rooms by 15%, the hotel’s website says. The new 1,001-room downtown hotel features a heated pool and sauna, spa and a bridge that connects it to the Dallas Convention Center.
When: The offer is good through Dec. 30, based on availability and subject to blackout dates.
Tested: I checked the hotel’s website and found a room with one king- or two queen-sized beds for Nov. 18-20 at the sale rate.
