Las Vegas: Vintage car sale benefits Southern Nevada’s Make-a-Wish

Share

If you’re still searching for that perfect present, a visit to a sale of vintage automobiles (an aqua 1955 Cadillac, perhaps?) on Saturday in Las Vegas may provide some inspiration.

Best of all, buyers will be helping fulfill the dreams of seriously-ill children because 10% of the proceeds willb e donated to the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Southern Nevada.

The one-day car show and sale will feature vehicles owned by the Amazing Johnathan, a comedian/magician who performs nightly at Bally’s. When he’s not grossing out audiences for laughs, Johnathan buys old cars. His fleet of 27 rare vehicles, includes a 1932 Pierce Arrow.

That vintage vehicle isn’t among those being sold, but a yellow 1959 two-door Cadillac coupe and a cream-colored 1964 Lincoln Continental will be offered. Amazing Johnathan employs a full-time mechanic to service his fleet so all the cars are in good, working condition. They’ll be priced at current market value.

The show and sale will be held 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at Amazing Johnathan’s customized auto warehouse at 6290 Harrison Drive in Las Vegas. That’s about half-a-mile east of McCarran International Airport.

To help create a festive atmosphere, there’ll be a live radio broadcast from the sprawling warehouse, which looks like an old drive-in movie theater. Several food trucks will also be dishing up street eats.

Photos of the various cars that will be on display can be viewed online. (You need to be logged-in to Facebook to see the images.)

The ’55 Cadillac is selling for $30,000. The ’64 Lincoln is priced at $25,000.
