If you’re going to Switzerland and traveling by train this spring, best to bring a friend with you. The Swiss Travel System is offering a 2-for-1 price on four-day passes that provide unlimited travel on trains, boat and postal buses.

The deal: With this offer, the four-day Swiss Saver Pass (four consecutive days of travel) costs $254 for two in second class and $404 for two in first class. The four-day Swiss Saver Flexi Pass (any four days of travel in a month) start at $294 for two in second class and $470 for two in first class. Passengers must travel together on the same dates to get the deal.

When: Passes are good for travel between April 1 and May 31 and must be purchased no later than 8:59 PDT May 25.

Added extras: Pass holders can grab a free Swiss Family Card that allows children 6 to 15 to travel for free when accompanied by a parent or guardian. And the pass also comes with a Swiss Museum Pass that includes free admission to more than 400 museums.

Tested: I found the sale price pretty easy to find online via Rail Europe. Check the fine print on the website to make sure the deal works for you. Also, have the names of both passengers ready when you buy the passes.
