The storied Raffles Hotel in Singapore, which over the decades has welcomed the raffish (Charlie Chaplin) and the revered (Queen Elizabeth II), is celebrating its 125th birthday on Sept. 16.

Those with deep pockets who want to join the festivities can book Raffles’ “Time to Celebrate” luxury package (for $40K), which includes two nights in the Presidential Suite, airport transfers in the hotel Bentley, a pair of engraved Jaeger-LeCoultre commemorative watches and two tickets to the fancy dress dinner on Saturday or dinner for two in the Bar & Billiard Room. The package is available until Sept. 30.

For those with more modest budgets but who still want to party, Raffles has concocted a new cocktail, the 1887, an updated version of the iconic Singapore Sling created in 1915 in the hotel’s Long Bar.

On Sept. 16, a Champagne brunch featuring a limited-edition birthday cuvée rounds out the weekend festivities.

Besides the Singapore celebrations, Raffles hotels and resorts in Paris, Seychelles, Dubai and Beijing are celebrating their flagship’s 125th with special menus, spa treatments and excursions.
