Daily Deal: New York City’s sale on Broadway tickets is back

If you’re heading to Broadway next month, check out Broadway Week Fall 2013 to find two-for-one tickets to selected musicals and plays. It’s the sixth time New York City’s tourism office has made the offer available to locals and visitors, and new shows have been added to the promotion.

The deal: The twofers are available for 19 shows, including “The Trip to Bountiful” with Cuba Gooding Jr. and Cicely Tyson at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre; “Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella” at the Broadway Theatre; the musical “Big Fish,” which opens Sept. 5 at the Neil Simon Theatre; and “The Glass Menagerie,” which previews Sept. 5 at the Booth Theatre.

When: Tickets go on sale 7:30 a.m. PDT on Aug. 19 for show dates Sept. 2 to Sept. 15, subject to availability.

Details: The promotion is offered in winter as well. Tickets may not last long at this online sale, so shop early if you know what shows you want to see and what dates you want to go. Preview the list of shows at nycgo.com’s website.
