If you go clubbing in West Hollywood anytime soon, check out the city’s new PickUp Line. It’s a weekend trolley that officially starts Friday for bar-hoppers along Santa Monica Boulevard who are prepared to ditch their cars -- and it’s free.

The deal: The PickUp will run every 15 minutes from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and stop at gay bars between Robertson Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue, according to a city statement. The trolley has some nice touches, such as a photo booth called the PickUp Shot on board for Instagram fans and piped-in music by local DJ Derek Monteiro.

There are perks for those who leave their cars behind. The PickUp Perk Card distributed on the shuttle offers VIP entry and a two-for-one breakfast before noon at the Abbey Food & Bar (692 N. Robertson Blvd.) and a free appetizer with an entree for PickUp users at Hugo’s (8401 Santa Monica Blvd.). More bars and eateries have offers for PickUp users, and new ones will be added weekly, the city says.

When: The shuttle starts Friday and will continue as a pilot program through the end of the year.

Details: Locals and visitors can hop on and off at any of 20 stops along the four-mile loop. (Here’s the route map.) Facebook and Twitter will keep you up to date on the perks for riders too.
