Here’s a Valentine’s Day gift that will keep until summer: Pageant of the Masters in Laguna Beach is offering discount tickets for $14 each until Feb. 14. The show that re-creates famous artworks on stage as “living pictures” turns 80 this year.

The deal: Pageant of the Masters uses people, costumes, lighting, stage sets and makeup to portray famous paintings and sculptures in the 90-minute show, which runs most of the summer. New artworks are created every year, but it traditionally ends with a re-creation of “The Last Supper.” Discounted tickets are good for “directors tier side” seating and are available for performances Sundays through Thursdays.

When: The offer is good through Feb. 14 for shows between July 7 and Aug. 29.

Tested: Tickets for “directors tier” seating usually cost $20-$30; the deal offers a good discount for those who want to bring the whole family. The theme this year is “The Big Picture,” with art that is related to films. The pageant is part of the larger Festival of Arts, and pageant tickets are good for entry to the festival too.
