Loews hotels and resorts are kicking off a one-day sale with up to 40% off room rates. They’re calling it a Cyber Spring Forward sale in honor of Daylight Saving Time (we lose an hour Sunday). Sale rates are good for stays until June.

The deal: You can make reservations online or by phone at 19 properties in the luxury hotel chain in the U.S. and Canada, including California properties in Santa Monica, Hollywood and Coronado. The sale has no required minimum stay and comes with free Internet service too.

When: The sale runs from 9:01 p.m. Pacific time Sunday to 11:59 p.m. Monday. Stays are good through June 30.

Details: I couldn’t test this deal because the sale hasn’t launched yet. But a Loews spokeswoman told me sale rates are as low as $137 a night at the Hollywood and Coronado sites, depending on what dates are selected. As a comparison, room rates at Loews Coronado Bay Hotel started at $209 a night for the week starting March 17. There’s no guarantee you’ll get the lowest rates on the dates you want, but the sale might offer a good spring bargain.
