Mammoth, Whistler partner with four others for common ski pass
Mammoth Mountain in California, Snowbird in Utah and Whistler Blackcomb in British Columbia, Canada join the lineup for Mountain Collective’s 2013-14 pass that offers two days of skiing or riding at each resort.
The three join Alta in Utah, Aspen/Snowmass in Colorado and Jackson Hole in Wyoming, which teamed up for the first pass issued for the 2012-13 season.
A limited number of passes go on sale Tuesday at last season’s prices: $349 per adult and $229 per child 12 and younger, according to Mountain Collective. Besides two free days of skiing and snowboarding, passholders receive half off the price of lift tickets for additional days (no blackout dates) and discounted lodging offers.
By the numbers, the pass covers slope time at 12 mountains and 30,000 acres of terrain. “Adding these three world-class mountains makes this the ultimate dream pass,” Christian Knapp, vice president of marketing for Aspen Skiing Co., said in a statement.
Passes are good for next year’s ski season and are sold at Mountain Collective’s website or by calling (800) 705-6286.
