Daily Deal: One-day Summer Break Cyber Sale for Loews Hotels

Travelers can save up to 40% on Thursday (today) with a one-day-only Summer Break Cyber Sale available through Loews Hotels and Resorts. (We’re posting this earlier than usual so you can get a jump on the savings.)

Loews has 19 properties, three in California – the Hollywood Hotel, the Santa Monica Beach Hotel, and the Coronado Bay in San Diego.

The deal: The Summer Break Cyber Sale is available for one day only and continues all day until midnight. The deal is for travel now until Sept. 30. As the name suggests, the deal is available only through the website. Guests can receive up to 40% off the Loews Best Rate reservation price, as well as free in-room Internet access during their stay. (This offer, by the way, excludes the Orlando, Fla., locations.)

Details: The actual discount varies by the selected dates, availability and location. I couldn’t test actual prices before the sale, but I found rates of about $490 on some dates in June and July at the Santa Monica Beach Hotel. Loews representatives did supply some room-sale rates for me; they said the Santa Monica starting price will probably be about $441. The Hollywood location currently has rooms starting from around $255 in June and July, and reps said prices would likely start about $206. The sample starting sale prices they gave me for the Coronado Bay location varied from $132 to $269, depending on the month.
