Jeff Dunham extends his Las Vegas residency four more months

Share

Comedian Jeff Dunham admits he’s not playing with a full deck. He even gave his residency show at Planet Hollywood Resort the same name. Now Dunham says he’s extending his stay through October, an additional four months.
New dates were just announced for the ventriloquist, whose co-stars include Walter the Grumpy Retiree, Achmed the Dead Terrorist, redneck Bubba J, the manic purple creature Peanut, the spicy pepper from south of the border José Jalapeño, and Peanut’s own ventriloquist dummy Little Jeff, a mini-version of the ringmaster himself.

Dunham created these dummies from scratch, but each developed a personality all its own and fans to go with them.

Dunham’s popularity started with six Comedy Central specials and a TV show in his name on the network. His YouTube channel has more than 350 million views.

Generally he performs in arenas, but in Las Vegas, he plays a much smaller 1,500-seat showroom five nights a week. The Guinness World Records named Dunham as the world record holder for “Most Tickets Sold for a Stand-up Comedy Tour,” for his “Spark of Insanity” tour, which sold 1,981,720 tickets and played at 386 venues around the world.

New dates for Dunham include June 10-14, 24-28; July 1-5, 8-12, 22-26, 29-31; Aug. 1-2, 12-16; Sept. 2-6, 16-20, 23-27, 30; and Oct. 1-4.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, March 27, starting at $72.
