The Lon Bronson All-Star Band blasts back into the Smith Center with two shows in one night as it celebrates a quarter-century of playing in Las Vegas.

Former and current members of the R&B horn band, as well as guest stars who performed during the group’s 2 a.m. shows at the former Riviera, take the stage on Saturday, Oct. 17, at 7 and 10 p.m. during the Cabaret Jazz shows.

Over the years, the band has entertained a legendary cast of stars, including comedian Drew Carey, magician Penn Jillette, singer Tom Jones, the cast of HBO’s “The Sopranos,” musician Joe Walsh, actor Jeremy Piven and more.

In its 25-year reign over Las Vegas, the Lon Bronson band’s late-night peformances have entertained showgirls, dancers, specialty acts and comics who headed to the Riviera after their finishing their own shows, and some of those performers ended up on stage with the band.

Bronson, dubbed Las Vegas’ Ed Sullivan, made sure that no two shows were alike.

The band spent time on television, appearing on an HBO special with Drew Carey and a Comedy Central TV series with the actors from “Reno 911” and “A Night at the Museum.”

Bronson earned an Emmy nomination for musical direction of “Earth to America,” a TBS special that starred Tom Hanks, Faith Hill, Dustin Hoffman and Bill Maher.

Tickets start at $20.
