A series of storms has shrouded the Sierra in snow, and more is on the way. About 36 inches of powder fell on Mammoth Mountain’s summit in just two days, while lower elevations saw up to 20 inches. The ski resort reported a base depth of 22 inches at the lodge and 42 inches at the summit. Lake Tahoe recorded a foot of snow.
