Kate Linthicum is a foreign correspondent based in Mexico City. Since joining the Los Angeles Times in 2008, she has covered immigration, local and national politics, and has reported from Asia, Africa and the Middle East. She was a Livingston Awards finalist in 2018, was part of the team that won the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for breaking news and has won two Overseas Press Club awards. She was born in Texas, raised in New Mexico and graduated from Barnard College.
