Tige Andrews’ longtime home in Encino sells for $2.1 million

The longtime Encino home of Tige Andrews, known for his role as Capt. Adam Greer on the late-1960s counterculture crime series “Mod Squad,” has found a buyer who digs it. The pad sold for $2.1 million.

The 1960 Ranch-style home, built eight years before the series began its half-decade run, sits at the end of a cul-de-sac on more than a quarter-acre.

Recently updated, the 4,107-square-foot house opens to living and dining rooms with walls of glass and two fireplaces.

The adjacent kitchen has a breakfast room. A bar and office/hobby room sit off the step-down family room, which has brick accents. There are seven bedrooms and four bathrooms.

Andrews, who died in 2007 at 86, was already an experienced character actor when he landed his role as the establishment cop who molds a trio of young hippies into undercover agents. He had starred on “The Detectives” (1959-62) and appeared on the “The Phil Silvers Show” (1955-56).

The property came on the market in late February at $2.149 million.
