Pete Rose of baseball fame and his second wife, Carol, have listed a home in Sherman Oaks for sale at $2.15 million.
Entered through a gated courtyard, the contemporary Spanish-style house features a grand foyer, skylights, wrought-iron railings, six bedrooms, five bathrooms and 4,719 square feet of living space. The kitchen has three sinks, two dishwashers and three ovens -- plenty of equipment to cook for a starting lineup.
The quarter-acre site also contains a swimming pool with spa, a covered patio and a detached multi-use structure.
Pete Rose, 72, played in the major leagues from 1963 to 1986 and is a former manager of the Cincinnati Reds. The switch hitter set records for hits, games played and at-bats.
Most recently he has been making his home in Las Vegas, according to his 2013 reality show “Pete Rose: Hits & Mrs.”
The Roses bought the property in 1999 for $913,500, public records show. Pete Rose filed for divorce two years ago.
Gloria Hicks of Rodeo Realty is the listing agent.
