Twitter #Weekendeats highlights: Vacation food!

Share

Taking pictures of your food and sharing them with friends is always fun, but sharing pictures of all the food you’ve eaten on vacation? Those are the best. During our #Weekendeats chat Monday morning on Twitter, our #Weekendeats family shared some photos from their recent vacations. Here are the highlights:

Food blogger Darin Dines shared a photo from his 10-day trip to Tokyo. While at the RyuGin restaurant in Tokyo, Dines feasted on fried uni.

Jo from Mylastbite.com shared some photos of her meals from her time in London. Jo treated us to a picture of snails and a vibrant pink duck heart and deviled pig’s skin and smoked cod’s roe from the St John Hotel.

Prachi Joshi of the blog Deliciously Directionless is currently on holiday in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand in India. Joshi spent the last weekend in Ranikhet and shared photos of sweets, produce, spices and all sorts of shopping with products in every color imaginable from the markets in the area.

Stephanie Arsenault of the blog Global Dish shared some photos from her recent three-week trip to Italy and a recipe for what she calls “basket bread.” The recipe was inspired by the way she says each meal began with fresh bread, olive oil, balsamic and a glass of wine.

Please join in by tweeting your #Weekendeats at us Monday morning @latimesfood and share your photos with us in our “Weekend eats” gallery. We’ll feature some of the photos here on Daily Dish, so be sure to check back for more #Weekendeats and #Foodporn throughout the week.

Hope to see everyone next Monday morning on Twitter! It’s sure to be a drool-worthy good time.
