This ain't health food. If there's a sin food, this is it. And we all like to be a little evil once and a while, yes?
I use good, strong sourdough bread. American cheese and Swiss cheese. Veggie mayo, a couple of nice tomato slices and some thinly slice red onion pieces. Salt and pepper.
Fry in buttered cast iron skillet till browned. I have a 7 inch one just for this purpose.
