2002 Joh. Jos. Prum Wehlener Sonnenuhr Kabinett

Share

Spring is here and what could suit the weather better than a young Riesling from the phenomenal German winemaker, Manfred Prum? His 2002 Kabinett from the renowned Wehlener Sonnenuhr vineyard is all flowers and terroir, its ripeness balanced with the firm acidity and low alcohol (just 8%) that makes wines from the Mosel so enchanting. Well-chilled, it makes a great aperitif, but it’s also wonderful with food. Pair it with smoked trout or pate. It’s stunning with Asian food too. Lay down some extra bottles. The beautiful thing is these wines get better with age. And if there’s one thing the Joh. Jos. Prum estate is known for, it’s age-worthy wines.
