AH, modern living: handsome. Environmentally friendly. Delivered, move-in ready. Prefab enthusiasts can witness the possibilities as Marmol Radziner Prefab hosts a tour of the company’s new modular housing factory in Vernon on Sunday. Potential customers can get an inside look into the production of the Utah House 1, which will be prefabricated entirely in the factory and transported for site installation. Fans of prefab can preview the house’s structural insulated panels (SIPs), floor-to-ceiling windows, custom cabinets, concrete tile floors and solar panels. The factory holds three assembly lines that can produce 20 prefab modules at once; a cabinet, metal and window shop are also on site. The tour runs noon to 5 p.m. Sunday and Dec. 3. Admission is free. Children must be 12 or older. Sign up by calling (310) 689-0089 or e-mailing rsvp@marmolradzinerprefab.com.
