L.A. Street Food Fest: Crispy octopus tacos, churro ice cream sandwiches and more

At the annual L.A. Street Food Fest, El Mazateño's octopus tacos and Vaka Burgers were among crowd favorites

The 5th annual L.A. Street Food Festival took place over the weekend at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. More than 6,000 people showed up to sample a little bit of the more than 100 food and drink vendors.

The daylong event concluded with an awards ceremony that included Vaka Burgers, Salt & Straw, Churro Borough, Ceviche Project, Guelaguetza's Michemobil, E Mazateño and Misky Misky as judges' winners and crowd favorites.

And while it was indeed a warm Saturday evening, there were plenty of ways to stay hydrated throughout the night, including plenty of buckets of water available and even an iced coffee lounge area.
