Authorities investigate Compton shooting
Authorities are investigating an early morning shooting in Compton that injured one man.
The shooting occurred at about 12:50 a.m. Monday near the intersection of Alameda and Cedar streets, said Lt. Marc Lucio of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Compton Station.
While two men were walking on Alameda Street, Lucio said, a vehicle pulled up next to them and fired several rounds, striking one of the men in the leg.
The victim was transported to a local hospital, authorities said.
