Driving instructor, 70, accused of sexually assaulting students

A 70-year-old driving instructor has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting his students and police are looking for additional possible victims.

Jorge Ernesto Ubillus is accused of sexually assaulting an undisclosed number of students of the Prudential Driving and Traffic School in East Hollywood in July and August. Police did not say exactly where the alleged abuse occurred.

An LAPD official could not immediately say if Ubillus, who was arrested Monday on suspicion of sexual battery, was still in custody.

A person who answered the phone at the traffic school Wednesday referred all questions to the LAPD.

Police are urging additional victims or anybody with any information regarding the case to call (213) 473-0439. During non-business hours or on weekends, tipsters can call (877) 527-3247.
