A 38-year-old man was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of gunning down a Lancaster resident as he rode his all-terrain cycle, authorities said.

Arturo Lopez was arrested in an unincorporated area east of Lancaster after Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies served two search warrants in connection with the shooting death of Steven Finson, 47, as he rode his ATC. His body was found shortly before 9 a.m. Feb. 24 in the 13300 block of East Avenue H in Lancaster, according to the Sheriff’s Department.

The investigation initally began as a missing person’s case after family members reported that Finson had not returned from an outing on his ATC the day before, KTLA reported.
