Man on motorcycle killed in accident with Metro bus
A man on a motorcyle was killed Thursday night in a fiery accident with a Metro bus in Chatsworth.
The motorcycle slammed into the front of the bus in the 21000 block of Nordhoff Street and struck a pole and caught fire, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Erik Scott said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name and age were not released.
No passengers were on the bus, but the driver received a minor injury and was taken to a hospital in fair condition, Scott said.
The incident was reported about 8:45 p.m. Los Angeles police investigators were at the scene late Thursday trying to piece together what happened. No additional details were immediately available.
