Montebello pedestrian dies after being struck by vehicle
An investigation is continuing into an early morning fatality in Montebello after authorities found a man in the roadway.
Montebello police Lt. Mike Flores said that at 6:17 a.m., authorities received reports of a man in the roadway in the 2400 block of West Whittier Boulevard.
Investigators who arrived at the scene “discovered the man down was struck by a vehicle,” Flores said.
The driver of the vehicle was contacted at the scene. Flores said “no arrests have been made at this time.”
The pedestrian, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at a hospital.
