The Glendale bear: Captured for good?
A 400-pound black bear known as Meatball or Glen Bearian was captured for the third time by the California Department of Fish and Game on Aug. 29. The bear has been found wandering in the Glendale area several times since he first appeared in April, despite officials' tagging and transferring him deep into the Angeles National Forest. The next stop for Meatball? Probably a wildlife sanctuary in Colorado, though his current caretakers at a San Diego County sanctuary are making plans to build him a permanent home. Full story
