The city declared that at 12:01 a.m. Monday the Occupy L.A. camp outside City Hall would be in violation of the law. On early Wednesday police moved in and dispersed the camp. These photos show scenes of the site after, and before, Wednesday's police action. More photos

I'm proud to see people speaking with passion about an issue that most of the 99% haven't yet begun to realize applies to them. We are facing global financial collapse. Nothing you think you have is safe. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer.
I don't see slobs; I see committed people willing to take a stand. Something has to change.
