From Times Wire Reports

The California Supreme Court on Wednesday tossed out two lawsuits that sought to eliminate the state’s new $3-billion stem cell research agency.

With little comment, the high court refused to hear the two cases. But the court did say that its unanimous ruling did not prevent the lawsuits from being refiled in a trial court, which could still spell trouble for the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine.

“We would have preferred for the California Supreme Court to rule on this litigation,” said Bob Klein, chairman of the committee that oversees the agency.
