A homeless man and woman were doused with gasoline and set on fire as they slept behind a market, authorities said Saturday.
One of the victims suffered burns to the hands, legs and head. The other suffered burns to the hands and arms.
The burns were not life-threatening, and the two were able to run to a nearby store for help, said Cpl. Jesse Jurado of the Corona Police Department.
He said the victims did not see who attacked them in the incident, which occurred about 10 p.m. Friday.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Corona police Det. Dan Dunnigan at (951) 736-2330.
