The Clippers won their third game in a row, beating the Brooklyn Nets, 123-84, on Thursday at Staples Center.

It was as lopsided as it gets, the Clippers leading by as many as 46 points.

The Clippers outshot the Nets from the field, 59% to 37.5%, and from beyond the three-point line, 44% to 19%.

Blake Griffin finished with 24 points on 11-for-14 shooting and six rebounds in 25 minutes. DeAndre Jordan had 14 points on a flawless seven-for-seven effort and 12 rebounds in 26 minutes. J.J. Redick had 17 points on six-for-eight shooting in 20 minutes. And Chris Paul had 17 assists, the same amount as the entire Nets team combined, in 24 minutes.

Jay Z, who was in attendance with his wife Beyonce, entertained himself during the game by posing for photos with Clippers owner Steve Ballmer. Fans were left hoping that Jay Z would take the court and perform, as Fergie did during a game against the Lakers on Jan. 7, and Ballmer would have another dance-a-thon.

That at least would have been entertaining.

To be fair, the Nets were playing without point guard Deron Williams, who is out indefinitely with fractured rib cartilage, and Kevin Garnett, whom Nets Coach Lionel Hollins opted to rest.

The Clippers were up at halftime, 70-37, having outshot the Nets, 65.9% to 38.1%, and outrebounded them, 30-12. None of the starters played more than 26 minutes, and to the reserves’ credit, they kept the lead throughout the second half.

The Nets eventually reached the 50-point mark with 3:44 left in the third quarter after Cory Jefferson made a jumper.

Every Clipper played in the blowout, including C.J. Wilcox, who was recalled from the Development League on Wednesday. Wilcox finished with four points.

The Clippers play at Phoenix on Sunday before hosting the Denver Nuggets on Monday. They then leave for an eight-game trip.
