DUCKS VS. BUFFALO SABRES

When: Wednesday, 7:30 p.m.

On the air: TV: FSW; Radio: 830

Update: The Ducks will go for a season-high-tying sixth consecutive win and try to extend a 12-1-1 run. They have scored five or more goals in four straight games. The only concern during their climb up the standings is lopsided special teams, with their power play going 12 for 46 in their last 12 games and their penalty-killing unit giving up 11 goals in 10 games. The Ducks will play the top two picks from last year’s draft in Buffalo’s Jack Eichel on Wednesday and Edmonton’s Connor McDavid on Friday. Eichel was tied for second among rookie scoring leaders with 41 points in 60 games entering Tuesday. Buffalo’s leading scorer, Ryan O’Reilly, is out three to four weeks with a lower-body injury.
