Dwight Howard plays around and cheats in Pop-a-Shot

At first, Dwight Howard approached the Pop-a-Shot game in the same vein that some think he approaches basketball. Howard played around.

Later on, Howard ended the game with the same skill set the Lakers hope he brings on defense. He swatted his opponent’s shot.

Considering Howard’s sudden dip in popularity stemming from his hasty exit from Orlando, many will find fodder in this type of incident. Some will say this illustrates how Howard thinks everything is a big joke. They’ll argue Howard reeked of insecurity and entitlement by blocking a shot on an innocent kid.

I’m not one of those people. This is simply a “Seinfeld” episode. It means absolutely nothing. Howard had fun twirling basketballs behind his back. He had fun blocking a kid’s shot. That kid had fun returning the favor.

But this video still merits posting because it reflects another thing that made “Seinfeld” so great. It was still amusing.
