&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Never did we expect to find another Andreas Cantor and his trademark &amp;lt;em&amp;gt;futbol&amp;lt;/em&amp;gt;&amp;nbsp;call: “&amp;lt;em&amp;gt;¡GOOOOOOLLLLLLLLL!&amp;lt;/em&amp;gt;”&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;But it was a unexpected and fun discovery to unearth the &amp;lt;a href=”https://youtu.be/ZmSrQUG9HSE”&amp;gt;radio call&amp;lt;/a&amp;gt; of boxer Katie Taylor’s gold medal victory in the lightweight final on Thursday. It was the first gold medal for Ireland at the London Games, and unleashed a delirious celebration of giddy glory.&amp;nbsp;&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Not only in the arena but in Ireland. If you want an example, listen to radio announcer Seán Bán Breathnach’s call, a loud and lyrical outburst even if you don’t understand anything besides the words “Katie Taylor.”&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;He works for the national Irish-language radio station, RTE &amp;lt;a href=”https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RT%C3%89_Raidi%C3%B3_na_Gaeltachta”&amp;gt;Raidió na Gaeltachta&amp;lt;/a&amp;gt;.
