Pac-12 commissioner ‘not optimistic’ on DirecTV adding Pac-12 Networks
Watch: Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott is not optimistic about DirectTV picking up Pac-12 Networks.
Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott said on Wednesday that he was “not optimistic” that DirecTV would pick up the Pac-12 Networks for this fall’s football season.
Scott made the comment after addressing media during Pac-12 media day at Paramount Pictures.
“We continue to have discussions with DirecTV,” he said. “Sitting here today, [I’m] not optimistic about those discussions. We continue to ask them to provide it to the many Pac-12 fans.”
AT&T is one of the Pac-12’s top sponsors and is in the process of trying to buy DirecTV. It wasn’t clear whether approval of the sale would help the Pac-12 Networks reach more households.
