George Clooney won lead actor in a motion picture drama at the 69th Golden Globes on Sunday for his starring turn as a troubled father of two daughters in Alexander Payne’s ‘The Descendants.’ In the Hawaii-set film, Clooney plays Matt King, a wealthy attorney who learns that his wife had been unfaithful after she sustains a serious brain injury in a boating accident. He must come to terms with her infidelity at the same time he struggles to reconnect with his children and help them cope with the impending loss of their mother.
