If you’ve always wanted to own a piece of vintage animation art work from movies like “Bambi,” “Snow White and Seven Dwarfs ” and “Lion King,” here’s your chance.

On Sunday, more than 160 pieces of artwork donated by some of the best-known animators in the industry will be up for sale in a charity auction held at the Animation Guild building at 1105 N. Hollywood Way in Burbank.

The pieces include original drawings, sketches and paintings from such animators as Glen Keane (‘Pocahontas’), Nick Park (‘Wallace and Gromit’), Andreas Deja (‘Aladdin’) and Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston, two of Disney’s famed “Nine Old Men.”

The auction, which starts at 2 p.m., is open to the public, with proceeds going toward assisting longtime Disney and DreamWorks animator Pres Romanillos, who is suffering from leukemia and needs assistance with his out-of-pocket medical expenses.
“If you have any interest in animation or illustration, it’s a chance to see some extraordinary pieces up close,’ said Kevin Koch, president of the Animation Guild. “There will probably be some really good bargains and it’s for a good cause.”
