When audiences settle in for Broadway’s ‘Million Dollar Quartet’ on Sept. 10, they’ll be treated to a live performance from rock ‘n’ roll legend Jerry Lee Lewis -- both the real one and the actor who plays him on stage.

Lewis is scheduled to make a one-night appearance with the cast of the Tony-nominated show at the Nederlander Theatre in New York. In the musical, Tony-winning actor Levi Kreis plays Lewis as a young man.

‘Million Dollar Quartet’ is a jukebox musical that follows a meeting of Lewis, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and Carl Perkins on Dec. 4, 1956, at Sun Records in Memphis. The show received a Tony nomination for best musical and book of a musical.

Lewis’ appearance is tied to the promotion of his new album ‘Mean Old Man,’ which will be released on Sept. 7 on Verve/Universal Music Enterprises.
