‘Work of Art: The Next Great Artist’ -- Bravo’s reality competition series that pits eager artists against each other in a gallery battle royal -- has set a date for its return. The second season will kick off Oct. 12 at 9 p.m. on the cable channel.

Many of the same personalities are returning for the show’s second season. Fashionista China Chow -- the daughter of restaurateur Michael Chow -- is back as host, and so is Simon de Pury, the auction house overlord who acts as a mentor for the contestants.

Serving once again as judges are critic Jerry Saltz and gallerist Bill Powers. Guest judges will be Adam McEwen, Jeanne Greenberg Rohatyn, Mary Ellen Mark and the artist known as KAWS.

Sarah Jessica Parker returns as an executive producer through her production company Pretty Matches.

This season’s 14 contestants range in age from 24 to 41. As with the first season, the show takes place in New York and the prize is a solo show at the Brooklyn Museum. One of the contestants, identified only as Lola, hails from Los Angeles.
