Foodie alert: Get your tix for Simply diVine, Taste of Beverly Hills and the L.A. Times Wine & Food Fest

Where did the summer go? How can it be late August already? Well, instead of lamenting what you did not get to do this summer, let’s focus on the fun that’s still ahead. Put these three events on your ‘To Do’ list:
--Do you have some sensible footwear? Then you’re ready for Simply diVine, a food-and-wine fest taking place Saturday night, Aug. 21, at Two Rodeo in Beverly Hills. You’ll need the sensible footwear to eat and drink your way across those world-famous cobblestones. Restaurants and wineries participating in the event, which is hosted by the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center, include: Bradford Mountain, Cabot and Ahnfeldt wines, as well as The Bazaar by Jose Andres, Craft, Jar, Lucques, Ciudad and more. Details here:
--The Taste of Beverly Hills jams a week’s worth of wine, food and more into four days, Sept. 2-5, and if you think I’m exaggerating take a look at this schedule. (You could always take off Thursday and Friday as vacation days, you know.) Presented by Food & Wine magazine, there will be celebu-chefs galore, including Wolfgang Puck (of course), Art Smith and more. I couldn’t possibly do justice to it all, so explore the website on your own.
--Our very own L.A. Times Wine & Food Festival takes place on Sept. 5. Our soiree takes place at the Paramount Studios backlot in Hollywood, and also includes a jam-packed schedule of events: Explore it all here. We’ll have lots of celebu-chef firepower of our own, including Top Chef winner Michael Voltaggio, Suzanne Goin, Mark Peel and Ludo Lefebvre.
In addition, there will be food trucks galore, including the Munchie Machine Truck. And you will have to get in line behind me, because I definitely plan to get my mitts on one of their PB&J S’Mores sandwiches that L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa just couldn’t get enough of at the L.A. Street Food Fest. Check out the full list of participating food trucks and restaurants here:
