How about this savory showstopper? It comes to us courtesy of personal chef and L.A. food writer Gaby Dalkin. She’s the voice behind the food blog, What’s Gaby Cooking. (She’s also known for her killer guacamoles. Seriously, how many people have an entire guacamole section on their blog?)

Dalkin took the L.A. Times’ Test Kitchen recipes for quick puff pastry and this fresh berry tart and put her personal spin on it: She made it savory, adding tomatoes, scallions and goat cheese. We loved this photo so much we used it on E2 of Thursday’s L.A. Times Food section. Thanks for allowing us to use your photo, Gaby!

If you try one of the recipes from the L.A. Times Test Kitchen, we’d like to know about it so that we can showcase it on the Daily Dish blog, and occassionally in print. You can upload your photos here. And you can find our online collecton of Test Kitchen recipes here. (Keep tabs on that link -- we’re always adding new recipes.)
