Dodgers owner Frank McCourt apologized to club employees when he met with them last week at Dodger Stadium.

Multiple employees who were at the luncheon said McCourt spoke to them for about 10 minutes.

“I’m really, really sorry that my personal life has gotten in the way of your life,” McCourt said, according to one employee.

McCourt offered to field questions, but none were asked.

The meeting took place on the same day the Dodgers officially announced that President Dennis Mannion was no longer working for the club. The Dodgers said McCourt would resume overseeing the club’s day-to-day operations.

McCourt is still awaiting a resolution in his recently concluded divorce trial.

Representatives for McCourt and his estranged wife, Jamie McCourt, held a second round of mediation talks last week, but a settlement was not reached.

Absent of a settlement, Judge Scott Gordon has until Dec. 28 to decide whether Frank is sole owner of the Dodgers. Frank has notified the court that he intends to seek a second trial if Gordon rules that Jamie is co-owner of the team.
